I started out racing an ITA Capri in 1985, and after getting tired of being drubbed by the Mazda rotaries moved up to GT1 in the early 2000’s. It didn’t take me long to realize that I ought to focus on my passion for the parts and leave the driving to others.
So in 2005 we started Roadraceparts.com. While we focused on the big bore TransAm and SCCA GT1 cars our specialty was in used parts, bodywork transmissions etc.
Two years ago we made a decesion to concentrate on new parts, and to get involved in the TransAM as a sponsor. Today we assist John Baucom with his effort in that series. Going forward we intend to become even more involved.
This is the first entry of our new blog. We intend to bring information about the TransAm and GT series to the racing world in a timely fashion.
Our next blog will be about our recent visit to Derhagg Motorsports, where we toured the shop and discussed the upcoming 2010 series.
Russ;
Craig here. Roush TA chassis RR-022-92; what do you know about its original race history?
Thanks;

Craig, sorry for the delay Ive been out of town. Nothing specific at this time. There was one chassis which was destroyed. Got to check which one. #21 was sold at Dale Phelon’s auction, I believe.
Why?
Hey Russ,
Just found you and looking at some of the older posts and wondering if the BAJA Mustang/Capri ever got finished?
Good to hear from you. That is a bit of a sore subject right now. Think it needs to be pursued away from the blog, if you would like to discuss it. But I am happy to do so.
